Small volumes, great performance
Conductive and non-conductive liquids such as juice, beer, soft drinks, edible oils and milk products must be precisely measured and metered.
KROHNE has several solutions for this, such as the BATCHFLUX 5500 “dosing EMF” suitable for demanding applications . It is the smallest dosing EMF on the market, also the only instrument equipped with embedded cermet electrodes and meets maximum hygienic requirements. The measuring tube is made of extremely durable ceramic with high stability under pressure changes, withstands high temperature shocks and does not leak, creep or absorb any moisture and is vapour proof. Even with hot filling or after steam cleaning.
The excellent long-term stability of these instruments was demonstrated during joint research between KROHNE and PTB (German National Metrological Institute).
During the test, the instrument was subjected to a total of 600 simulated CIP cleaning cycles, followed by another 60 hot steam sterilizations. This is equivalent to the operating life of an instrument of approximately 4-5 years under normal use. The test showed an average deviation of only 0.05% compared to tests of a new flowmeter, as well as stable reproducibility at different flow rates.
These results were about six times more stable compared to similar instruments with plastic liners. The BATCHFLUX 5500 is a compact instrument, can be easily built into the filling machines, which reduces the weight of the filling machine, having a positive effect on energy costs. For the user a positive effect on the operating costs.
Highlights BATCHFLUX 5500
Design enables high-speed filling with minimal product loss
High level of filling accuracy
Low energy consumption of only 3W
Hygienic construction, easy to clean
CIP and SIP resistant
Leakproof stainless steel housing concept
3A approval, according to FDA (DN 10 - 15)
For standard applications, the BATCHFLUX 3100 electromagnetic flowmeter (EMF) is a good solution in rotary or linear filling machines . Thanks to the unique ceramic measuring tube, the meter features good repeatability and long-term stability
The flowmeter has an ultra-compact lightweight housing, ideal for tight spaces in volumetric filling machines. The meter can be used for filling water or carbonised beverages, among others, and is suitable for common CIP cleaning procedures.

Compact filling meter for filling conductive liquids, e.g. water, carbonised soft drinks, etc.
Lightweight, economical design with ceramic flow tube for applications up to 8 bar
DN15 ceramic tube complies with EC1935/2004, FDA, GB 4806
Integrated frequency output
For non-conductive liquids or when filling by mass , the Coriolis mass flowmeter OPTBATCH 4011 is a good choice.
OPTIBATCH 4011 is a Coriolis mass flow meter for dosing conductive and non-conductive liquids or pastes by mass or volume. Despite its very compact design, the mass flow meter has integrated electronics, eliminating the need for a separate signal converter. The OPTIBATCH 4011 has a hygienic design (EHEDG/ 3A) and can be equipped with market-compliant process connections such as an aseptic flange according to DIN11864-2. The OPTIBATCH 4011 was developed as a specialized solution for filling and batching machines.
